Guess what, guys? Season 2 is only a month away!
Oh, sorry, did I confuse you? That's right, I probably haven't told you my plans yet...well let's get started so you're no longer in the dark!
Alright, so for those of you who don't know, I started this blog back in the middle of July (this is the 13th blog post). For the most part, it's been about writing, but I've also talked about a few other things as well.
And I hope you know by now that I'm posting every Saturday. I try to post in the mornings on Saturday, roughly between 8:00 and 9:00 AM (that's Central Time, by the way).
The 1st Saturday of the month is Blogger's Choice. This is where I can blog about whatever I feel like, whether it's writing related or not.
The 2nd Saturday of the month is Guest Week. This is where another blogger or writer writes an awesome post for me! Just to make sure you don't get tired of me ;)
About once ever four months there is a middle Saturday in the month (like this one), totaling five Saturdays instead of four. I haven't decided what to make this week's theme yet, any ideas? Please let me know if you have any!
The second to last Saturday of the month is Beyond Writing. This is basically where I talk about something writing related, but not directly about the writing craft.
The last Saturday of the month is Writing Tips. Yep, this is where I talk about the writing craft.
So that's a quick rundown of how I'm doing things at this point! Now, let's get on to the whole seasons concept:
To keep you (and me) interested, I decided that three times a year (every 17 or 18 weeks), I'll be refreshing my blog and making changes and so forth. I'm calling them seasons. Here's a list of everything that will change between seasons:
-A new blog look, feel, and color theme.
-New weekly topics (suggestions are always welcome!)
-New features and widgets added
-A poll/survey you can fill out to let me know what I should change in the upcoming season!
For now, that's all I'll be adjusting for each season, but I'll try to let you know if I decide to change anything else!
Season 2 will begin begin on the 3rd Saturday of November. I'm very excited about it, and I'm already thinking about new blog designs and weekly themes!
I've mostly been blogging about writing up to this point, but I also like to talk about other things too! So one of my big goals is to still talk predominantly about writing, but also expand to new horizons as well.
The poll I'm creating will be available on Saturday, October 29th, and will be available for you to fill out for exactly two weeks. So stay tuned for that!
And finally, PLEASE COMMENT BELOW FOR ANY SUGGESTIONS OR IDEAS. Sorry to shout, but I would really like to get some thoughts from you guys. :) But save some ideas for the poll later, too!
That's all I got this week! In the next couple weeks, I'll be talking about about NaNoWriMo and how to prepare for it. So excited!!! Thanks for being great readers. See you next time! :)

ReplyDeleteGood for you for having this organization thing down though. O.O I would give suggestions but my blog is mostly just a smattering of ramblings in a variety of different topics posted sporadically when I feel like it... but if I think of something I shall return. :D
