All About Me (And My Blog!)
So on Saturday morning I woke up, turned my computer on, opened all my usual websites (Facebook, Youtube, Pinterest), turned on some music, and finally opened Blogger. That's when it hit me.
WHAT?!?!?!?!?!?!
I had completely forgotten that I needed to write a blog post (in case you didn't catch it already, I'm blogging every Saturday). And I put off writing one until today because I felt so guilty. So I'm completely doing an impromptu post, and it might be a big mess. Just a warning.
Last week was crazy, let me tell you. Now, that's no excuse for being late, but just so you know, I do have reasons.
So today I thought would be a good time to just write a quick post about me, my life, and what this will blog will be about.
So first up, me. Here's me in a nutshell:
-I'm Luke Hartman.
-I'm a high school Senior.
-I live in Northern Wisconsin.
-I have two amazing parents, an older brother named Ben, and a little 11-year-old cat named Whisper.
-I'm homeschooled, which is mostly awesome.
-I'm a strong Christian! My dad is a pastor, actually. My faith impacts many areas of my life.
-I love blue, orange, and white a lot, but green is my favorite. It sits right in the middle of the rainbow, it's both calming and exciting at the same time, and it embodies life and nature. Green is amazing.
-My favorite food is pizza, hands down.
-My favorite drink is water, honestly. Nothing beats a tall glass of ice water (but I also love iced tea, lemonade, and basically everything else.)
-I am a movie buff! I love the movie Mr. Bean's Holiday, it's my favorite. So good. I also love the Lord of the Rings series, Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, Avengers movies, Jurassic Park, Spirited Away, and so many more...
-I don't watch a lot of TV, but I ADORE Doctor Who and Avatar: The Last Airbender.
-Don't even get me started on music. Owl City, Lindsey Stirling, Coldplay, Tori Kelly, Imagine Dragons, Alessia Cara...and lately, Grimes, CHVRCHES, and Shane Harper. I love music. (Also, soundtracks! Check out my blog post about soundtracks, it was my first blog post ever!)
-I do love a good book. The Looking Glass Wars, The Mysterious Benedict Society, The Kane Chronicles, The Penderwicks, Holes, and a lot more are my favorites. Shakespeare is amazing too!
-I don't play on any sports teams, but I enjoy playing soccer and volleyball with my friends.
-I am a writer! Yes, I write novels, and NaNoWriMo basically got me started. I'm currently editing a fantasy novel that I just love.
-I play the piano, and sing. I also write music a bit as well.
-I love my friends! They are all so cool. I have two squads that I'm very close with, as well as a few other friends that live many hours away so I don't get to see them as much, but they're awesome.
So that's me. Actually, a lot of the things that make me who I am transfer into my blog as well! I'm planning to talk mostly about novel writing (so check out NaNoWriMo right now, before I do a blog post about it and you have no idea what I'm talking about.) I also might do some blogging about music, movies, books, TV, and just whatever I feel inclined to tell you guys about!
Also, I plan to blog EVERY SATURDAY. The second Saturday of every month will be Guest Week, in which I will invite a guest blogger to tell you guys about whatever that person is inspired to talk about!!
That's my current plan. I will try to let you know if anything changes regarding that! Also, sorry again for this late posting. This coming Saturday, (the 13th) my friend & fellow writer Rachel will be here for Guest Week! I'm so excited to see what she has to say.
I will be back the Saturday the 20th. See you guys then! :D
